Overview
The Sanguinarium “The Vampyre Social Network” is a private international movement of individuals, organizations and businesses dedicated to the Vampyre Mysteries as defined by Father Sebastiaan’s book Vampyre Virtues “The Red Veils” and Magister Maelle’s book Vampyre Virtues “the Vampyre Veils.”
History
Founded in the mid 1990s by Father Sebastiaan in Gotham Halo (New York City) as a network for his fang clients of the Sabretooth Clan the Sanguinarium has evolved to be one of the most influential organizations within the Vampyre / vampire community. Going through its many evolutions it has finally come to its present state as a virtual haven and “The Vampyre Social Network.”
Vampyirsme
Vampyrism as defined within the Sanguinarium and according Vampyre Mysteries a versatile philosophy known as “The Red Veils” for most and a spirituality detailed in the “The Purple Veils”. Each individual defines which Veils inspire and relate to their own perspectives and personality. The Nine “Core Veils” include Mystery, Transhumanism, Zhep’r, Dragon, Primal Nature, Elegance, Libertine, Sensuality and Immortality.
Membership
Membership to the Sanguinarium is strictly invite only for legal adults who are personal fang clients of Father Sebastiaan, those who have attended an Endless Night Vampire Ball or personally known and referred by an ordained member of the Vampyre Priesthood of Elorath. There are no exceptions to this rule as we are a private organization and reserve the right to accept or deny membership and wish to have in person connections and introductions.
Ethics
We do not support any specific religion or political agenda, nor do we endorse the act of drinking human blood as a part of our culture and all Vampyres are held to the highest standards of adult behavior and abhor illegal or criminal acts. Organizations
Within the Sanguinarium there are many “orders” which are special interest groups including Vampyre Priesthood of Elorath, The Fangsmith Guild, Synod which is the governing council of the movement and the Sabretooth Clan exclusively for Father Sebastiaan’s fang clients. Members may propose to the Synod to create their own organizations and all are only open to registered members; some by invite only.
Awards
Outstanding members may be recognized for specific awards within the Sanguinarium which designate forms of initiation, ordination and accomplishment within the movement. Examples include “Master / Mistress of the Red Veils, “Adept of the Purple Veils,” “Vampyre Deacon,”, Vampyre Priest/ess” and “Vampyre Magister.”
