What are Vampyres? According to our perspective the Vampyre Path is a philosophy, tradition and spirituality which draws upon the empowering ancient and modern power and imagery of the vampire mythos. Truly established within the Vampyre community known as the Sanguinarium in the 1990s this has grown to an international movement all over North America, South America, Africa, Asia and Europe.
The sigilium of this Vampyre’s Path is the Vampyre Legacy Ankh.
Vampyres do not see themselves as those vampires of mythology, however embrace various empowering aspects of the vampire in a real world no-nonsense practical reality. The Vampyre Path equates to virtues personal empowerment, enterprising spirit, elegance, romance, love, mystery, self-development, spirituality, music, art, transhumanism, culture and getting in touch with the primal elements of our nature topped off with a Quest for personal Immortality. These “Vampyre Virtues” are known by the name of the “Red Veils” and recently detailed in Father Sebastiaan‘s new book Vampyre Virtues; The Red Veils.
On the opposite side of the spectrum those who reject the negative aspects of the vampire archetype including being a cursed, energy deficient, depressed, death loving, anti-Christian, blood drinkers who defy and rebel from social norms.
This path comes down to an agreement, which manifests in what we of the Sanguinarium call the Vampyre Spirit.
